Soccer Wins at Glenville State

Soccer's offense buries 4 goals en route to a 4-0 win

Fairmont, W. Va. – The Fairmont State Women's Soccer team capitalized on their chances to earn a 4-0 win against the Pioneers of Glenville State. This builds on the Falcons' previous win streak to a 5-2-3 record on the season.

Similar to the most recent game by the Falcons, they got off to a quick start again on Wednesday evening. Kiera Kuzinski netted one of her three goals in the game from outside of the box in the 2nd minute, and she quickly scored another one just a minute later. Jessica Schneider gained the assist on Kuzinski's second goal. The score was 2-0 after just three minutes of play.

Fairmont State received many corner kicks on the evening, six to be exact. Jessica Schneider would take one in the 8th minute, where Mackenzie Gillespie would find the ball with her head to make it 3-0.

The Falcons went into the second half looking for another goal. Kuzinski was able to find this success in front of the goal in the 78th minute of the match. Natalie Chambers was credited for the fourth and final goal's assist.

Fairmont State ended the game with 33 total shots, with 17 being on goal. The Falcons were able to hold off the Pioneers attack of 9 shots, with just one being on frame.
