FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The Fairmont State men's basketball team (7-3) outscored Felician (3-7) by 21 points in the second half and cruised to a 108-76 win at Joe Retton Arena in Fairmont, W.Va.

Six Fighting Falcons reached double-digit point totals. Leading the way for Fairmont State was
George Mangas, who scored 19 points and shot 9-for-13 from the field.
Fonz Hale finished with 17 points and had a game-high seven assists and six steals.
David Jolinder came off the bench and poured in 15 points. Jolinder went a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
Isaiah Sanders and
Zyon Dobbs both netted 14 points and Dobbs led the Falcons in the rebounding category with eight.
Tariq Woody continued to shoot the ball well from the field and converted 5-of-6 field goal attempts for 11 points.

After Felician jumped out to a four-point lead early in the first half, the Falcons scored on consecutive possessions from a Hale triple and a layup by Sanders to go up 18-17. The Golden Falcons tied the score three separate times in the first half. With the score even at 28, Dobbs nailed a three-pointer on a fastbreak that put the Falcons on top 31-28 with 9:07 in the first half.
Tommy Williams swished his first three of the game to push the Fairmont State lead to 34-30. Dobbs made a jumper despite getting fouled and completed the three-point play that increased the Fairmont State lead to double figures. The Falcons held an 11-point lead at intermission.

Following a Golden Eagles' bucket, Mangas ripped off six-straight points that forced a Felician timeout within the first 60 seconds of the second half. The Falcons scored 12 unanswered points and built a commanding 70-46 lead with 14:10 remaining in the second half. The Golden Eagles could not cut the deficit to less than 20 points and Fairmont State controlled the pace. Woody's layup with 6:37 to go put Fairmont State ahead by 30 points.

Adam Deininger (3 points),
Przemyslaw Golek (3 points) and
Tyheil Peterson (2 points) all came off the bench and entered the scorebook in the game's final moments.

The Falcons will be back in Joe Retton Arena tomorrow (Dec. 18) for their last home game of 2022 versus Penn State Greater Allegheny at noon tomorrow.
