No. 16 Men's Basketball Falls at Frostburg State on Saturday; Fairmont State Heads to Wheeling to Face Notre Dame College

FROSTBURG, Md. -- Frostburg State used a 20-point swing in the second half to capture the 80-75 victory over Fairmont State on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Falcons are now 21-6 on the season and 16-6 in Mountain East Conference games.

Isaiah Sanders led four Falcon scorers in double-digit scoring with 18 points as Zyon Dobbs (15 points), Cole VonHandorf (14 points), and Briggs Parris (10 points) each scored 10+ points on the day.

Frostburg State used a 6-0 run in the final 2:20 of action in the second half to down the Falcons and close its season with an overall record of 8-20 and 6-16 in MEC contests.

Fairmont State is slated to play Notre Dame College on Friday at 8:15 p.m. from WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. in the MEC Basketball Tournament.

The Fighting Falcons return for one more game this season inside Joe Retton Arena as Fairmont Stae hosts NAIA opponent Carlow University at 1 p.m. this afternoon. Fairmont State Athletics will also honor Myles Monroe prior to the game tipping off on Dan Cava Court from Joe Retton Arena.
