FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- On Saturday morning, Fairmont State women's tennis welcomed non-conference opponent Bluefield State to campus as the Big Blue won 5-1 on the day. MacKenzie Sorton won at No. 4 singles for the Falcons.
BSC got the doubles point with a sweep of the three doubles matches as
Candela Sevilla and Sorton were narrowly defeated at the No. 2 court, 6-4.Â
In the singles action, Sorton powered past Big Blue Paula Saez in straight sets (6-1, 6-3) to get the Falcons on the board with a point.
Fairmont State will now head to Charleston, W.Va. for Mountain East Conference tournament play as the Falcons will be the fourth seed in next week's action.
