SALEM, W.Va. – Alyssa DeAngelo led all scorers with 27 points and eclipsed 1,000 career points as the Fairmont State women's basketball team (11-6, 6-4 Mountain East Conference) picked up a road non-conference win at Salem (8-14) on Monday (Jan. 16) afternoon at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium in Salem, W.Va.

DeAngelo, who has tallied 1,022 career points after Monday's game, reached the milestone in 62 games and now ranks 28th on the all-time Fairmont State women's basketball scorers list, surpassing Ashley Reed. She has averaged 16.5 points per game during her time donning a Fairmont State uniform.

In Monday's game, DeAngelo converted five shots from beyond the arc and went a perfect 8-for-8 at the charity stripe. She added four steals and two assists to her final stat line.
