• Fairmont State (4-1) returns to Mountain East Conference play and will host Concord (0-5) on Thursday (Oct. 5) night at Duvall-Rosier Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.Â

• Fairmont State cruised to a 59-14 win over Post in the 2023 Homecoming game at Duvall-Rosier Field. The Falcons generated 460 yards of total offense and forced six turnovers in the win.
• Fairmont State and Concord will battle on the gridiron for the 87th time in series history on Thursday night. Fairmont State owns a 49-35-2 record versus the Mountain Lions. The two teams first faced off in 1932.
• The Falcons have won the previous six meetings versus Concord, including a 10-9 road victory in the 2022 season. Concord's last win versus Fairmont State came in 2015 in a 27-10 decision in Athens.

• As a team, Fairmont State leads the MEC in passing yards per completion (17.87 yds/completion), passes intercepted (9), blocked kicks (5) and average punt return yardage (21.67 yds/return).
• The Falcons' rushing attack has been in rythm all season long. Fairmont State averages 209.0 yards per game on the ground, which is the second-highest mark in the MEC. Three Fairmont State rushers rank inside the top 10 in the MEC in rushing yards.
LeJay Hatcher enters this week sixth in the MEC with 278 total rushing yards.

• Glenville State transfer quarterback
Will Adkins shined in his first collegiate start. The Huntington, W.Va. native completed nine passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Adkins added a rushing touchdown and 13 yards on the ground.

Michael Floria was Fairmont State's leading rusher verus Wheeling and finished with a career high 112 rushing yards. Floria crossed the goal line after a 25-yard scramble in the third quarter versus the Cardinals. The junior from Prince Frederick, Md. has totaled 41 completions for 701 yards and six touchdowns.

Kobe Harris is Fairmont State's leading receiver and has accumulated 13 receptions for 283 yards and two touchdowns. In the first half versus Wheeling, Harris returned a punt 74 yards for a punt return touchdown. The receiver from Atlanta, Ga. ranks 20th in the country in averaging 21.77 yards per reception.
• Sophomore wideout
Winston Page hauled in five receptions for 74 yards and two scores versus NDC. Page has totaled 223 receiving yards and averages 13.9 yards/reception.Â

Gage Michael scored a receiving touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the game versus Post. The Kent State transfer and Fairmont native has caught 10 receptions for 207 yards in his first five games donning the Maroon & White.
• Defensive Back
Eltayeb Bushra earned MEC Defensive Player of the Week honors in week four after nabbing two interceptions and recovering a blocked kick in the Falcons' win at NDC. Bushra picked off his third interception in two weeks after recording an interception versus Post in week five. The junior from Herndon, Va. has recorded 22.0 total tackles and has two pass breakups and a fumble recovery this season.

Jovon Jackson won MEC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 11 after creating two turnovers in the week two win at West Liberty. The junior from Gainesville, Va. has forced two fumbles and has picked off a pass to go along with 39 total tackles.

Brocton Blair intercepted his first pass of the season versus Post in week five. Blair leads the Fairmont State defense with 40.0 total tackles. The Honorable Mention All-American from last season has added four quarterback hurries, three pass break ups and 2.0 tackles for a loss. He and Jackson have both recorded over 30 tackles for the Fairmont State defense this season.

Scout Arthur earned MEC Player of the Week honors in week four after averaging 41.4 yards per punt and placing three punts inside the 20-yard line versus NDC. The AB transfer has averaged 39.3 yards per punt and has placed 10 punts inside the 20-yard line. Placekicker
Emmanuel Richardson has made five field goals, including a 43-yard try, on the season. Pack and Jackson lead the MEC in blocked kicks and have blocked two kicks each.Â
• Fairmont State Head Football Coach
Jason Woodman is in his 11th season leading the Falcons. He secured his 56th career win on Saturday versus Post and is the second-winningest football coach in school history.Â
Scouting Concord
• After holding a lead in the fourth quarter, Concord allowed a touchdown on the final play of the game to West Liberty and fell to the Hilltoppers 23-21 at Callaghan Stadium last Saturday afternoon. Â
• Northeast Mississippi Community College transfer quarterback Jack Mangel returns to the field for Concord and has collected All-MEC honors twice. Mangel earned CCA Second Team All-Region accolades and Honorable Mention All-American recognition in 2022 after throwing 3,667 yards and 39 touchdowns, breaking the Concord single-season program record for touchdowns.
• Jamari Smith leads Concord's defensive unit and leads the MEC with a 6.6 solo tackles/game average. The Florence, S.C. native leads CU with 48.0 tackles on the season.
• Brian Ferguson took the reigns of the Concord football program in the spring of 2023. Ferguson is a first-year head coach after serving as the offensive coordinator for Concord for the previous three seasons.
