Kaitlyn Stumpf Crowned CSC Academic All-American

The graduate student from Weirton, W.Va. carried a perfect grade point average in both her undergraduate and graduate studies.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Fairmont State women's swimming's Kaitlyn Stumpf was named to the 2022-23 Academic All- America® women's swimming & diving teams selected by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced today (March 20).

Stumpf, an Education undergraduate and graduate major from Weirton, W.Va., was named to the Academic All-America Third Team after compiling a perfect 4.00 grade point average both as an undergraduate and graduate student. The recipient of the 2021-22 Eston K. Feaster Award has been named to the President's List in every semester as an undergraduate student at Fairmont State. Stumpf also excelled in the pool for the Falcons and competed for five seasons in Fairmont. She competed in the finals for individual events at three GMAC-MEC Championships. The team captain is a three-time winner of the Women's Team PRIDE Award and is the team's representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committe (SAAC). Stumpf is involved with The Hidden Opponent and is a Campus Captain advocate for student-athlete mental health.
