INDIANA, Pa. – The Fairmont State baseball team fell in a midweek non-conference single nine-inning versus Indiana (Pa.) on Tuesday (March 21) at Dougherty Field in Indiana, Pa.

After the Crimson Hawks scored a run in the opening inning, Fairmont State's
Alex Perez tied the game in the third inning with an RBI singles that scored
Brett Haskins.
Connor Bailey doubled in the fourth inning and plated
Quintin Reep and
Jarrod Jones and the Falcons led 3-1 after three-and-a-half innings.

IUP fired off four runs in the bottom of the fourth and reclaimed a 5-3 lead.
Ryan Goff roped a single to left field to score Perez and the Falcons trimmed the margin to one. The Crimson Hawks scored six unanswered runs through the fifth and eighth innings and stretched the lead to seven.

Bailey and Tennant both finished with multi-hit games. Bailey had the lone Fairmont State extra-base hit in the game.
Evan McDade contributed 1.2 innings out of the bullpen and did not allow a run while only surrendering one hit.

The Fairmont State baseball team is scheduled to return to conference play and host West Virginia State on Saturday (March 25) at 1 p.m.
