LOUISVILLE, Ky. –
Carlina Jacquez and
Bailey DeMoss of Fairmont State cross country continued their strong seasons with top-10 finishes at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday (Sept. 30).

Jacquez led the women's team for Fairmont State and placed fourth overall with a time of 18:46.8. The Fairmont native held a tie for second place after 3.9 kilometers in the race and was the first Falcon to cross the finish line. Freshman
Megan Mitchell recorded a time of 20:41.1 and finished 96
th overall.
Mackenzie Payne (22:02.5),
Stella Episcopo (24:22.7) and
Alexandrea Humphrey (25:06.7) completed the race for the Falcons. Fairmont State finished 33
rd out of 50 teams that competed in the silver race.

DeMoss finished fifth overall with a time of 25:42.0. The Bridgeport, W.Va. native remained in the top-10 the entire race and climbed up to fifth place after starting the race in ninth at the 2.1 kilometer mark. William Lemaster finished the event with a time of 27:35.0.
Alex Morris crossed the finish line in 30:28.6 and
Tyler Martin ran the race at 31:23.7.
Isaac Coffman fired a 32:55.9 while
Jacob Righter earned a 33:37.7.
Antonio Luketic recorded a time of 34:53.0. The Falcons finished in 35
th of 48 teams in the Silver race.
The Falcons will be back on the course next Saturday (Oct. 7) in Pittsburgh, Pa. at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
