PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Fairmont State University men's and women's cross country teams hit the course at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. The men's team finished 12th as the women's team placed 10th.
Bailey DeMoss led Fairmont State as he placed 15th with a time of 26:25.8.
Will LeMaster was the next Falcon to finish with a time of 27:45.0 in 47th.
Christian Simon ran with a time of 28:14.8, David Uso crossed the line with 30:23.8.
Tyler Martin ran the course with a time of 30:44.4 while
Isaac Coffman and
Taylor Hohman posted times of 31:42.9 and 32:07.5, respectively.
On the women's side,
Carlina Jacquez ran the 5k course in 19:13.9 and finished sixth.
Megan Mitchell crossed the line next with a time of 19:55.1 (28th) while
Emily Viani finished with a time of 21:36.4.
Bella Haught finished with a time of 22:57.0 as
Caroline Logue (25:11.3),
Stella Episcopo (25:23.2) and
Karah Coffman (28:30.6) were the next Falcons to cross the line.
Fairmont State's next race will be the Mountain East Conference Championships on Saturday, October 26.
