WHEELING, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State University men's and women's cross country teams took competed at the Mountain East Conference Championships. The women's team finished sixth while the men's team placed ninth.
Carlina Jacquez continued her incredible career at Fairmont State with a fourth-place finish with a time of 22:35.05. Sophomore
Megan Mitchell was the next Falcon to cross the finish line with a time of 23:38.40 (18th-place).
Emily Viani stopped the clock with a time of 24:32.02 as
Bella Haught crossed with a time of 26:52.11.
Stella Marsch ran the course in 27:27.95 with Chelsea Sayman and
Stella Episcopo finished right behind each other with times of 30:18.77 and 30:34.76, respectively.
On the men's side,
Bailey DeMoss was the highest finisher for Fairmont State as he earned 23rd overall with a time of 26:50.34.
Will LeMaster and
David Urso were the next Falcons to finish with times of 29:19.04 and 30:13.06, respectively.
Christian Simon finished the race with a time of 30:19.96 as
Tyler Martin posted a time of 30:38.15.
Isaac Coffman and
Taylor Hohman rounded out the Falcon runners with times of 32:14.19 and 32:18.03, respectively.
Fairmont State will return to the course on Saturday, November 9 for the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship hosted by Lock Haven University.
