ERIE, Pa. - The Fairmont State University acrobatics and tumbling team hit the road for the first time this season. The Falcons fell to the hosts, Gannon University, 278.605-268.890.
Opening with the Compulsory Event, Fairmont State was right behind Gannon, 37.75-37.20. The visitors posted scores of 9.80 in both the Pyramid and Toss heats with start values of 10.00.
In the Acro Event, the Golden Knights widened the margin as it scored 29.40 compared to 27.60 for the Falcons. For the 5-Element heat, the group of

The Pyramid Event preluded halftime as the event was tightly contested, 29.65-29.20, with Gannon getting the edge.For the open heat, the team of Smith, McWhorter-Martin, Wilson,

Out of halftime, the Toss Event restarted the meet as Gannon increased its lead, 29.30-28.35. For the synchronized portion, teams of

The Tumbling Event was next as the Golden Knights earned a score of 56.725 while the Falcons had a score of 53.950.
Rylee Vinson earned a score of 9.20 in the 6-Element Pass while
Katey Koehl posted a 9.700 in the Open Pass.
Wrapping up the night was the Team Event as the Falcons started with a value of 104.44 with a score of 92.59. As for the Gannon, it started at 107.13 and earned a score of 95.78.
Fairmont State (4-1) will have about 12 days off until its competes on Sunday, March 24 at Frostburg State University. Start time is set for 2:00 p.m.
