CANTON, Ohio -- The Fairmont State University swimming teams wrapped up its stay at the Mountain East Conference Championships. The men's team finished second as the women's squad earned third among the MEC teams.
Zoe Hoover picked up the first MEC honor in the 100 Free as she was named Honorable Mention with a time of 53.93.
Marra Johnson added to that in the 200 Breast as she finished ninth (2:33.38) and earned Honorable Mention status. In the final event of the day, the team of
Zoe Hoover,
Rachel Shryock,
Alexis Antol and
Mia Abruzzino swam the 400 Free Relay in 3:41.66 to be named MEC Honorable Mention.
For the men,
Patrick Fubio was named Honorable Mention in the 100 Free as he swam the event in 47.83. Fubio also took home second in the 200 Back (1:50.50) and named First Team All-MEC. In the same event,
Carter Redelman placed fifth (1:54.67) and earned All-MEC Honorable Mention.
Zackary Bishop picked up a Second Team All-MEC in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:10.17. In the 400 Free Relay, the pairing of
Patrick Fubio,
Grant Ridenour,
Adam Demaree and
Carter Redelman swam to a fourth-place finish (3:09.22) and was named Second Team All-MEC.
