BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — On the eve of the 2025 Mountain East Conference Acrobatics & Tumbling Championships, the MEC announced Thursday its postseason award winners and all-conference teams.
The MEC Acrobatics & Tumbling Top Honors were captured by Fairmont State's
Katey Koehl, who repeated as the MEC Athlete of the Year. Koehl, who will lead the host Falcons into Friday and Saturday's Championships at Joe Retton Arena in Fairmont, West Virginia, helped the program to the league's regular season championship and No. 5 national ranking in the latest NCATA poll.
Koehl, a senior top, base, and tumbler, is now a three-time first team All-MEC honoree. Koehl, who was named an NCATA All-American in 2023 and 2024, was named the MEC Athlete of the Week a league-best three times this season. This season, she has been awarded once by NCATA as an honorable mention selection, starring for the Falcons in nine heats.
Fairmont State's
Danielle Cutri captured the MEC Coach of the Year Award, as voted on by the league's coaches.
Cutri captures the MEC Coach of the Year honor after leading Fairmont State to its second consecutive regular season championship and fifth in the national rankings for the first time. The Falcons posted a perfect, 6-0 conference record with Cutri at the helm. Currently in her fifth season, Cutri has led the Falcons to a 40-9 record while posting a 26-1 mark in conference.
A full list of MEC honorees is provided below. The MEC award winners and all-conference teams are selected following a vote of the league's head coaches.
