Game 1: Frostburg State 6, Fairmont State 1

In the first game, the two sides struggled to drive in runners that were in scoring position until the bottom of the third. Frostburg State broke through with as two runs scored on a single to left field.

The Bobcats added four runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth to hold a 6-0 advantage. In the top of the seventh, Fairmont State got on the board when Zach Brennan drew a walk with the bases loaded. Unfortunately, this was the only run the Falcons were able to produce in the frame.

Ryan Goff was the lone Falcon to record multiple hits in the game with two.

Fairmont State was able to get on board first in the second game when Quintin Smith hit a two-run homer to center field. In the second inning, Tyler Haskins drove in Noah Canterbury with a single to right field. Later in the frame, Smith brought home Haskins and Connor Bailey as he singled to center to give the Falcons a 5-0 lead.

The Bobcats cut the deficit to just three in the bottom part of the second with a two-RBI single to left. In the bottom half of the fourth, the hosts added another run to make it a 5-3 game.

The Falcons threatened in the fifth with the bases loaded but struggled to add to their lead. Frostburg State, however, kept the momentum going as it scored four runs on five hits to grasp a 7-5 lead.
