BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week's Football Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Fairmont State kicker, Emmanuel Richardson provided a flawless performance in the Falcons' overtime win against Bloomsburg. Richardson made a pair of field goals and all five of his extra-point attempts, including the decisive point in the extra period. Richardson has made all eight of his extra-point attempts this season, making him 98 for 98 in his career. He has the made, makes, and attempts in MEC history of any player who has not missed an extra point.

Fairmont State will be off this week before returning to Duvall-Rosier Field on Saturday, September 20 against Wheeling University. Kickoff is slated for 12:00 p.m. as the Falcons will celebrate their successes from the 2024-25 athletic year with Day of Champions.
