FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State University acrobatics and tumbling team welcomed Kutztown University for a Mountain East Conference meet. The Falcons bested the Golden Bears, 266.755-218.055.
The first event of the day was the Compulsory Event as Fairmont State posted a 37.100 total score. In the pyramid heat, the team earned a 9.650. One pyramid was composed of

Madison Stefancik,
Alexa Wilson,
McKenzie Sowers,
Kaylee Rehak and
Jessi Wolf. The other pyramid was
Morgan Webb,
Elizabeth Maurer,
Makenna Huss,
Macy Riggs,
Kassidy Price,
Alexis Wilkinson and
Jacklyn Kelly.
Moving to the Acro Event, FSU was given a 28.100 over the three heats. The Falcons received scores of 9.550 in both the 5-Element and 7-Element heats.
The final event before halftime was the Pyramid Event as Fairmont State continued to grow its lead with a 28.800. Just like the Acro Event, the team earned similar scores in two heats with 9.650 in both the inversion and open heats.
Leading 94.000-84.250 after halftime, the hosts expanded their lead with a 28.450 in the Toss Event. Laurence, Riggs, Sowers Wilkinson, Kelly and Rehak combined for a 9.650 in the 450 Salto.
The penultimate event was the Tumbling Event as Fairmont State earned a 53.575 over the six heats.
Zoe Ringwald tumbled across the mat in the 6-Element pass and received a 9.750 with a start value of 10.000.
In the Team Event, the Falcons cemented its victory with a score of 90.730.
Fairmont State (3-0, 3-0) heads to Frostburg, Maryland on Sunday, February 22 for a tri-meet against Frostburg State University and Wheeling University. Start time is slated for 2:00 p.m.
