PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. — Fairmont State University finished 10th with a team score of 631 (+55) at the Pawley's Island Beach Bash, led by
Nik Tomblin's T29 finish with a 155 (+11) at The Founders Club.
Nik Tomblin was the top performer for Fairmont State, tying for 29th with a final score of 155 (+11). He improved significantly in the second round, shooting a 74 (+2) after an opening round of 81 (+9).
Colby Bent finished tied for 39th with a total of 157 (+13). Bent showed consistency with rounds of 80 (+8) and 77 (+5) across the two days of competition.
Mason Lapana tied for 48th place, finishing with a 158 (+14). After a first-round score of 82 (+10), he improved to card a 76 (+4) in the second round.
Ben Ritenour finished tied for 60th place as he finished with 162 (+18). He posted rounds of 82 (+10) and 80 (+8).
Eric Feng tied for 64th with a score of 163 (+19). Feng posted an 84 (+12) in the first round and improved to a 79 (+7) in the final round.
Fairmont State also had a 'B' team compete.
Bryson Mabry from the Falcons ended tied for 90th, recording a 169 (+25). Mabry maintained his form with rounds of 85 (+13) and 84 (+12).
Oscar Guazzarotto finished the two rounds with a score of 173 with rounds of 81 and 92.
Dustin Keener finished with 179 (86-93) while
Liam Lohr totaled a 182 (99-83).
Blake Hunt (190) and
Marc Puigdomenech (195) completed the various lineups for the Falcons.
Fairmont State will host the Larry and Wally Edgell Battle at Brunswick in Calabash, North Carolina. The tournament starts on Friday, March 13 and concludes on Saturday, March 14.
