CALABASH, N.C. — Fairmont State University's A team secured sixth place at the Larry and Wally Edgell Battle at Brunswick with a total score of 902, highlighted by
Eric Feng's tie for eighth with a 222 over three rounds.
Eric Feng tied for eighth place, finishing at six-over par (222). He progressively improved throughout the tournament, concluding with an even-par 72 in the final round.
Colby Bent secured a tie for 22nd position with a ten-over par (226). His performance saw steady improvement, highlighted by a two-over par 74 in the final round.
Nik Tomblin finished in a tie for 28th with an 11-over par (227). Tomblin's best round came at the start, as he shot a two-over par 74.
Mason Lapana tied for 53rd, completing the event at 21-over par (237). Lapana made a notable comeback from an opening round 86, finishing strong with a one-over par 73 in the final round.
Ben Ritenour finished tied for 67th at 24-over par (240). Ritenour improved significantly after his second round, concluding the tournament with a two-over par 74.
Fairmont State's next tournament will be the MEC Spring Tournament starting on April 7. The tournament will be hosted at Oglebay in Wheeling, West Virginia.
