FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The Fairmont State University acrobatics and tumbling team faced seventh-ranked Duquesne University in a top 10 matchup. The Falcons defeated the Dukes, 267.140-260.595.
In the Acro Event, Fairmont State jumped out to an early lead by scoring 37.450 compared to 36.700 for Duquesne. In the toss heat, the Falcons earned a 9.900.
Fairmont State slightly grew its lead in the Acro Heat with a 28.850 while Duquesne was right behind with a 28.450. The group of

Elizabeth Maurer and
Alexis Wilkinson gave the Falcons another 9.900, this time in the 7-element.
The Pyramid Event was next for both teams as the Dukes posted a 29.450 with FSU right behind with a 28.450. Going to halftime, the Falcons held a slim lead, 94.750-94.600.
After halftime, the hosts expanded their lead once more with a 28.400 Toss Event.

Fairmont State kept growing its lead in the Tumbling Event as it outscored Duquesne, 54.650-51.675. Laurence's ariel pass earned a 9.775 from the judges.
The final event of the afternoon was the Team Event. The Falcons sealed their victory with an 89.340.
Fairmont State (5-0) hits the road on Saturday, March 21 to face Glenville State University. The meet is set to start at 1:00 p.m.
