BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has announced the winner of this week's MEC Acrobatics & Tumbling Player of the Week award. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Fairmont State's Azia Shaffer has been named the MEC Acrobatics & Tumbling Player of the Week. She is the second Falcon to receive this award and it is the third week this season the Falcons held this award.

Shaffer, a senior top/tumbler from Morgantown, West Virginia, competed in 8 heats and team event for Fairmont State last Monday, recording five scores of 9.50 or higher. She helped the Falcons to the highest toss score this week with a 9.75/10.0.
