FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The NCATA announced its week eight award winners. Fairmont State's Alexa Wilson was named the Division II Specialist of the Week while Taryn Laurence was named as one of the Athletes of the Week Honorable Mention.

Specialist of the Week: Alexa Wilson
Wilson, a senior base from Fairmont, West Virginia, helped the Falcons to a pair of 9.90 scores in the pyramid event this week.

Athlete of the Week Honorable Mention: Taryn Laurence
Laurence, a senior top and tumbler from Euless, TX, was part of ten scores of 9.50 or higher with seven scores at a 9.8 or higher. She competed in all three pyramid events as a top and did not score below a 9.85. She helped the Falcons to the highest event acro score with a 9.85 as the Falcons scored a season-high 271.145.
