SALEM, Va. — Fairmont State (37-13) fell to Glenville State (43-14) in a 14-0 loss on Friday at the Moyer Sports Complex.
In the third inning, Glenville State opened the scoring with an RBI single. The Pioneers then hit a two-run homer, extending their lead to 3-0. After three innings, Glenville State led 3-0.
The fifth inning saw Glenville State extend its lead significantly by scoring 11 runs in the frame to then take a 14-0 lead.
Fairmont State was unable to score throughout the game. The final score was Glenville State 14, Fairmont State 0.
