LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award. The Fairmont State University women's volleyball team was named one of the honored members.
 
This marks the 11th-straight year that the Falcons team have received this distinction.

Volleyball programs from across the country continue to enjoy widespread success off the court as 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).
