FSU Women Begin Three Game Road Trip On Thursday

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State women's basketball team will begin a three-game road trip on Thursday evening when they travel to Wheeling for a MEC matchup against Wheeling Jesuit, tip is set for 5:30 p.m.

After returning from Wheeling, Fairmont State will quickly return to the road on Saturday to face Concord in a neutral site game in Logan. The Falcons will wrap up the road trip with their third game in six days on Monday evening at the University of Virginia's College at Wise.

Fairmont State Women's Basketball Notebook
-Fairmont State is currently 10-2 overall and has a 4-2 mark in Mountain East Conference games.
-The Falcons opened up 2015 with 66-56 come-from-behind victory over Urbana last Saturday and then picked up a 75-62 victory over Notre Dame College on Monday to earn their fourth-straight win.
-Emily Lohr scored 39 points and made 11-of-15 three-point attempts last weekend to earn Mountain East Conference Player of the Week honors. Lohr is the third Lady Falcon to earn MEC Player of the Week this season, joining Hallie Gunnoe and Hailey Garrett.
-Lohr is currently leading NCAA Division II in three-point field goal percentage (.623) and is second in the league in field goal percentage behind teammate Hailey Garrett, shooting .504 from the floor. Lohr is also seventh in the league in scoring (15.1) and ninth in rebounding (8.1).
-Senior Hailey Garrett is leading the Mountain East Conference with a .538 field goal percentage and is in the top 10 in the league in both scoring (15.4) and rebounding (8.3).
-Hallie Gunnoe is fifth in the MEC in both points and assists, averaging 16.2 points and 3.4 assists per game.
-Thursday's matchup in Wheeling is between two of the best defensive teams in the league. Wheeling Jesuit is second in both scoring defense (60.9) and scoring margin (+10) while FSU is third in scoring defense (61.2) and first in scoring margin (+15.4). The Falcons are also first in the league in both field goal percentage defense (.357) and rebounding margin (+7.2).
-Offensively, the Falcons are second as a team in field goal percentage (.460), third in scoring offense (76.6) and first in free throw percentage (.775).
-The Falcons are also sharing the basketball offensively, ranking second in the league in assists per game (18.5). Emily Puskarich (3.75) and Hallie Gunnoe (3.42) are both in the top five in the league in assists.
-FSU has eleven 20-point performances this season, led by Garrett with five in the first 12 games this season. In addition, the Falcons also have four player who have recorded a double-double this season (Garrett and Gunnoe each have three).
-Senior's Hailey Garrett, Hallie Gunnoe and Emily Lohr have each reached double figures in at least nine games this season.
