Scouting Fairmont State
-Fairmont State enters its final non-conference matchup with an overall record of 6-3 after picking up a 92-77 win over Davis & Elkins on Sunday afternoon.
-Today is the second-consecutive matchup for FSU against a former WVIAC opponent.
-On Sunday against D&E, the Falcons shot 57.4 percent from the floor and scored a season-high 92 points to roll past the Senators. The Falcons also limited their turnovers to just nine in the win, which was a season-low.
-Fairmont State's Makenzie White was named MEC Player of the Week last week after scoring a career-high 32 points to go with seven rebounds and eight assists. White was 12-of-15 from the field.
-FSU is averaging 72.6 points per contest while holding opponents to 66.7 points per game.
-Amanda Ruffner leads the Falcon offense, averaging 18.2 points per game. Ruffner has scored 20-or-more points in seven of nine games this season.
-White leads the team in rebounding (7.1) and assists (4.3) this season and is also second in scoring (16.2).
-In the last outing, FSU shot over 50 percent from the floor for just the third time this season. The Falcons also recorded a season-best .364 three-point field goal percentage in the win.
-Deidra Combs has done a little of everything for FSU this season, averaging 8.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and also has a team-high 15 blocked shots and is second on the team with 18 steals.

Bluefield State comes into Wednesday's contest with an overall record of 1-8 … the Lady Blues are coming-off a 62-53 loss to Salem International on Dec. 12 … Bluefield lost seven-straight to start the season before going 1-1 last week in the Joe Manchin Classic … Bluefield's only victory of the season was a 63-61 win over Ohio Valley … BSC is averaging 54.2 points per game and are being outscored by 24 points in games this season … Chaunte McDowell's 12.8 points per game leads three Lady Blues in double-figure scoring … Tierra Richberg leads BSC in rebounding (7.9) boards per contest.
