PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Fairmont State rolled to a three-set non-conference victory over Alderson Broaddus on Tuesday evening at Rex Pyles Arena in Philippi.

After a tight opening set that finished with a 32-30 final score, the Falcons took set two (25-17) and set three (25-22) to improve to 12-8 on the season. ABU drops to 2-16 on the season.

Mackenzie Harrison led the Falcons with 17 kills, 11 digs and a block assists, finishing with a .351 attacking percentage in the match.
Breanna Blot also reached double-figures for FSU, totaling 13 kills and three total blocks. Blot recorded a team-best .435 attacking percentage in the match.
Rebecca Feeney led FSU around the net, recorded four total blocks (two solo) and chipping in seven kills.

Megan Clerico (14) and
Sydney McCoy (11) joined Harrison in double-digit digs. Starting setter
Jessica Furda finished the evening with 42 assists and nine digs, just missing the double-double.

Alderson Broaddus was led by Elise Wolff, Lauren Daudelin and Megan Christmann with seven kills apiece in the loss. Joyce Eid tallied a team-high 13 digs for the Battlers and setter Karly Slone passed out 33 assists to lead the offensive attack for ABU.

The Falcons held an 8-3 advantage in blocks and a 6-2 advantage in aces to help the team pick up the sweep over the Battlers.

FSU will return home on Friday evening to host the University of Charleston at 7 p.m. inside Joe Retton Arena.
