WISE, Va. -- After a close opening set, Fairmont State rolled in sets two and three on Friday evening to improve to 18-12 on the season with a 3-0 victory over UVa-Wise (27-25, 25-21, 25-15).

The Falcons were led by
Mackenzie Harrison with 19 kills, three blocks and three aces in the victory. Harrison also recorded a .515 attacking percentage and committed just two errors in the match.

As a team, the Falcons recorded a .333 attacking percentage, including a .538 mark in the third sets (committing just one error in set three). The Falcons also held a 9-0 advantage in blocks and a 7-3 margin in service aces.

Breanna Blot also reached double-figures for the Falcons recording 10 kills. Freshman
Rebecca Feeney continued her strong season around the net by adding six more blocks to her season total.

Jessica Furda guided the offense with 42 assists and
Megan Clerico was the lone FSU player with double-digit digs, finishing with 10.

Karley Allen led UVa-Wise with 10 kills to go along with nine digs in the losing effort.

The Falcons will wrap up the regular season on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Concord for a 1 p.m. opening serve against the Mountain Lions.
