URBANA, Ohio – Fairmont State picked up its fourth draw of the season on Friday afternoon in Mountain East Conference soccer action at Urbana. Fairmont's
Cameryn Ciresi scored her second goal of the season on a rebound and put-back to tie the game in the 42
nd minute of the opening half – which proved to be the final goal of the season.
Just two minutes earlier, Urbana's Anne Kawabe scored the opening goal of the game off a rebounded save.
Statistically, the match was even with Urbana holding a 16-14 advantage in shots, including a 10-8 margin in shots on goal.
Fairmont's
Louise Welch provided most of the offensive attack for the Falcons, with six total shots - including four on goal.
Hailey McAllister (3),
Gabriella Mascaro (2) and Ciresi (2) also recorded multiple shots in the game.
In the FSU goal,
Shawna Graham turned in another solid performance with nine saves, including two in overtime to preserve the tie for the Falcons.
Fairmont State (3-4-4, 2-4-4 MEC) will return to action on Sunday afternoon with a trip to West Liberty. The opening kick if scheduled for 2 p.m.
