Student Promotion
Through the 2017-18 season, all secondary and elementary aged students will receive a free general admission ticket to Fairmont State football games. In addition, all parent or guardians that accompany any secondary or elementary aged children to the game will receive half-price admission when purchasing general admission tickets.
Women's Basketball Notebook
- Ten games into the 2017-18 season Fairmont State's Lady Falcons are 5-5 overall and 1-5 in the Mountain East Conference. FSU has won two of its last three games, including a blowout 87-42 victory over Salem last Wednesday at Joe Retton Arena.
- The Lady Falcons will wrap up the first semester of action Tuesday at 2 p.m. with a home game at the Joe Retton Arena against unbeaten and nationally-ranked Edinboro (Pa.) University. The Fighting Scots are 8-0 overall and ranked 10
th in the nation in the D2SIDA Division II Top 25 Poll and 13th in the country in the WBCA Division II Top 25 Poll.
- Two of Fairmont's losses this season have come by four points or less.
- Freshman shooting guard Sierra Kotchman leads the team in scoring this season at 19.5 points per game. Kotchman has made a team-high 34 three-pointers this season, including 13 in the last two games. Kotchman went 8-of-10 from behind the arc in last Wednesday win over Salem.
- Since Fairmont's opener Kotchman has scored in double figures in nine straight games, including a career-high 32-point performance in the Lady Falcons' recent loss to West Liberty. Six times she's scored 20 or more points and she's led FSU in scoring seven times, including the team's last six games. In fact, Kotchman has scored 20+ points in five of the last six games.
- No freshman the last 17 years at FSU has had a better first 10 college games than Kotchman, who has scored 195 points and leads the Lady Falcons so far this season.
- Brooke Kurucz is the only other FSU player averaging double-figure scoring this season at 15.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Kurucz is also second on the team with 21 three-pointers this season.

Kelli Jo Harrison is averaging nearly a double-double per night this season, at 9.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Harrison has reached double-figures in five of the last six games, including four double-double during that stretch.

Rachel Laskody made her first start of her career in last Wednesday victory over Salem. The sophomore is averaging 5.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game in the post for the Falcons this season. Laskody is shooting 59 percent from the field on the year.
Scouting Edinboro
- Edinboro has four double-figure scorers this season, led by Jontay Walton at 20.0 points per outing. Ciara Rosten is averaging just under a double-double per game this season, at 13.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Michelle Jahn (13.8) and Michaela Barnes (10.5) are also averaging double-figure scoring for the Scots.
- Edinboro will be playing on the road for the sixth time this season on Tuesday afternoon.
- Edinboro will be looking to continue its best start to a season since the 2011-12 campaign, when Edinboro started the year 24-0.
- Edinboro leads the all-time series against Fairmont State, 9-2 – including a 72-68 victory over the Falcons last season at the McComb Fieldhouse.
