SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Notre Dame College outshot Fairmont State 19-10 and scored three second half goals to defeat Fairmont State, 3-0, on Thursday evening at Mueller Field in South Euclid.

With the win, NDC improves to a perfect 4-0 on the year, with each of its victories coming in MEC competition. FSU slips to 2-2-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the league.

After a scoresless first half, Notre Dame's Janelle Bernal scored in the 60
th minute on a breakaway assist from Alexis Manoa to give NDC a 1-0 advantage. The home standing Falcons kept Fairmont State off the board and added two more goals in the final 10 minutes of play to wrap up the victory.

In the opening half, the teams combined for just eight shots, compared to 21 in the second 45-minutes period. Out of Fairmont's 10 shots, two of them were on goal, both saved by Notre Dame keeper Kyra McDowell.

Alexis Lindsay provided the two FSU scoring chances in the game.

Shawna Graham, who faced eight NDC shots on goal, recorded five saves.

FSU will now be idle until next Wednesday, Sept. 20, when the University of Charleston visits Duvall-Rosier Field for a 7 p.m. kick.
