No. 11 Bobcats Too Much For FSU Soccer

FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Eleventh-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan was too much for Fairmont State on Saturday evening, picking up a 4-0 victory at Duvall-Rosier Field. The Bobcats scored three first-half goals and added a fourth less than two minutes into the second half to roll to victory.
 
Following the loss, FSU falls to 2-4-3 overall, including a 1-4-3 record in league play.
 
Wesleyan recorded 28 total shots on the evening, including 15 that were on goal. FSU was limited to just seven shots – three of which were on goal.
 
Abigail Johnson led the FSU attack with two shots in the loss. Erica Uselton, Breana Wright and Lake Porter recorded Fairmont's trio of shots on goal.
 
FSU goalkeeper Shawna Graham, who faced a 15 shots on the evening, made 11 saves.
 
The Bobcats had eight players with multiple shots in the victory, including four apiece from Haelly Ramirez and Emily Knight. Ashlee Schumacher, who recorded three saves in the victory, finished the game with her fifth shutout of the season - helping the Bobcats improved to 9-0-1 overall and 8-0 in the league.
 
The Falcons will host Concord University on Tuesday evening at Duvall-Rosier Field. Start time is slated for 7 p.m.
