CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- Fairmont State Women's Basketball is back in the D2SIDA Atlantic Region Poll after an undefeated week last week with wins over the University of Charleston and West Virginia State. The Fighting Falcons are tied for seventh with fellow Mountain East Conference member West Virginia State.

Fairmont State earned a 68-61 victory over the Golden Eagles on Wednesday, December 1st after trailing UC by one point after the third quarter. The Falcons used an 8-0 run to grab the victory and secure their third consecutive win at the time. On Saturday afternoon, Fairmont State continued their win streak with an 85-77 triumph over the Yellow Jackets inside Joe Retton Arena.

The Falcons are also joined by MEC institutions Glenville State (2nd) and Concord (T-10th) in addition to West Virginia State (T-7th) and West Liberty (RV) in the latest Atlantic Region Poll that came out on Monday.

Fairmont State (5-2, 4-0 MEC) faces Concord University (5-2, 2-2 MEC) on Wednesday night in conference action with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off inside Joe Retton Arena.
