- Fairmont State is coming into Wednesday night with an overall record of 8-5 and 6-2 in Mountain East Conference play. The Fighting Falcons dropped their last contest to win West Liberty, 92-76, on Saturday afternoon on the campus of West Liberty.

Sierra Kotchman led all scorers with 28 points and added seven rebounds and six assists in the contest.
Jalen Gibbs followed Kotchman with 20 points and 10 rebounds on Saturday afternoon.

Sierra Kotchman has played and started in 118 consecutive games in her Fighting Falcon career. Kotchman needs three more starts to match Kaitlyn Snyder, 2009-2013, in the Fairmont State record book. Kotchman is the active Division II career leader in points (2,250), three-point field goals (355), free throw percentage (88.2%), field goal attempts (1,890), and three-point field goal attempts (938). Across all NCAA divisions, Kotchman is second in career points (2,250) with Ohio's Cierra Hooks at the top spot with 2,491 points.

Stephanie Anderson enters her third season at the helm of the Fighting Falcon program and enters today with an overall record of 30-29 in her coaching career.
- Fairmont State holds the all-time series at 36-15 over Davis & Elkins as the two squads meet up for 52nd time in matchup history. The two sides met earlier this season as the Falcons earned the 89-63 with five Fairmont State women's basketball student-athletes scoring in double figures.
Alyssa DeAngelo paced the Falcons in scoring with 20 points on 7-10 shooting from the floor and she was 2-4 from three-point range.
Jalen Gibbs followed with 16 points and collected five rebounds on the afternoon.
Jertaya Hall had 13 points and four assists on the day and
Sierra Kotchman chipped in 12 points on 5-10 shooting.
Madeline Huffman rounded out the Falcons in double-figures with 10 points.
- As a team, Fairmont State enters Wednesday evening third in the country in scoring offense at 84.7 points per game. Glenville State, fellow Mountain East Conference member, leads the nation in scoring offense with 101.0 points per game.
- Davis & Elkins Head Women's Basketball Coach Rachel Swartz is in her second season with the Senator and has an overall record of 5-24 in those two seasons. The Senators enter game Wednesday's matchup with a season record of 3-10 and 0-8 in Mountain East Conference play. Dream Cherry leads the way for D&E as she averages 16.2 points per game and has scored 10+ points in all but one contest this season. Marissa Berlin joins Cherry in double figures with 12.1 points per game as Berlin averages a double-double contributing 10.2 rebounds as well. In the game against Fairmont State earlier this season, Berlin paced four Senators in double-digit points with 13 as Peyton Mohler (12 points), Dream Cherry (11 points), and Allie Taylor (11 points) followed in the scoring column.
Fairmont State Women's Basketball (8-4, 6-2 MEC) is back at Joe Retton Arena on Saturday afternoon when the Fighting Falcons host Frostburg State (2-13, 1-8 MEC) at 2 p.m. in MEC action.
