Fairmont State Moves Up One Spot to #23 in NABC Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Fairmont State Men's Basketball moved up one spot to #23 this week in the latest release of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll on Tuesday afternoon. The Fighting Falcons were ranked #24 in last week's NABC poll.

Fairmont State enters 2022 with a record of 9-2 overall and 4-2 in Mountain East Conference. The Falcons last played on December 18th in a non-conference matchup with The University of the Sciences. Fairmont State earned the 94-55 victory to round out the 2021 portion of their schedule.

West Liberty, fellow Mountain East Conference member, remains at #8 in the NABC poll and the University of Charleston is receiving votes in the updated rankings. Lubbock Christian remains the top-ranked team in the nation as Northwest Missouri State (2nd), Nova Southeastern (3rd), Chico State (4th), and Minnesota Duluth (5th) round out the top five teams in the nation.

Fairmont State is back in action tomorrow night when they head to Alderson Broaddus for a MEC clash with the Battlers inside Rex Pyles Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
