FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State Baseball has announced a schedule update with Clarion University. The Fighting Falcons will now host the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, March 22 at 3 p.m. from the Bridgeport Recreation Complex. The game will be a single nine-inning contest.
Fairmont State finished the opening weekend of Mountain East Conference play with a perfect 4-0 record with two-game sweeps over Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Wesleyan. The Falcons are now 9-9 on the season.
Clarion enters the contest with a record of 2-11 with wins over Penn State Greater Allegheny and Millersville.
Noah Canterbury enters the week with a batting average of .400 with 28 total hits, two doubles, and one home run. Canterbury has 14 RBIs on the year and a team-high 33 total bases. Three Falcons have three home runs apiece as
Dwayne Thomas,
Justin Brown, and
PJ Lanham pace the team.
On the mound,
Bryan Camacho has a 0.00 ERA in six appearances as he has only allowed one hit and struck out 13 batters in 20 at-bats.
Steven Ricketts and
Connor Cramer lead the pitching staff with two wins apiece as Ricketts has a team-best eight appearances out of the bullpen.
