Gibbs' career-high 30 points helps lift Falcons past Golden Eagles 86-67

The Fairmont State women's basketball team (7-0 overall, 4-0 Mountain East Conference)
defeated the Golden Eagles of Charleston (2-6 overall, 0-4 Mountain East Conference) 86-67
Saturday extending their undefeated streak to seven.

The Falcons took a commanding 21-5 lead to start the first quarter and led 42-29 going into
halftime. The Golden Eagles would come within 7 to start the fourth quarter but Fairmont State
would maintain their lead and pulled away to win by 19.

Senior Jalen Gibbs lead the Falcons' winning effort with a career-high 31 points. Gibbs also led
the team with 8 rebounds. Seniors Alyssa DeAngelo added 16 points of her own, Madeline
Huffman scored 15 for the Falcons and Katy Darnell tallied 10 points.
