GREENSBURG, Pa. -- The Fairmont State University men's golf team took part in the West Liberty Invitational at Hannastown Golf Club in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The Falcons finished ninth (889) out of 14 teams.
Alex Turowski led Fairmont State as he placed 17th with a three-round total of 218 (77-70-71).
Jack Hayes ended the tournament with a score of 222 (72-76-74) while
Caleb Young came in with a 224 (75-76-73). Hayes finished 33rd while Young placed 39th.
Ben Ritenour started and finished with rounds of 73 with a round of 79 in middle for a total of 225 to place 44th. Randy Bland rounded out the starting five and shot 237 after the 54 holes with rounds of 78, 80 and 79. Individually,
Nik Tomblin competed and carded rounds of 82, 85 and 76.
Fairmont State heads to Bluefield, Virginia for the Bluefield State Intercollegiate at Fincastle Country Club. The tournament will take place from Sunday, September 29 through Tuesday, October 1.
