FROSTBURG, Md. — The Fairmont State women's swimming team faced Frostburg State on Friday evening in a Mountain East Conference matchup. The Falcons fell to the Bobcats 121.5-83.5.
Mia Abruzzino excelled in the 800 SC Meter Freestyle, claiming first place, and also secured a second-place finish in the 400 SC Meter Freestyle, clocking in at 6:38.01.
Olivia Ridenour was a key performer in the 100 SC Meter Breaststroke, placing first, and also contributed to the women's 400 SC Meter Medley Relay, helping her team achieve a second-place finish.
Zoe Hoover delivered a strong performance in the 50 SC Meter Freestyle, taking first place. She also participated in the 400 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, where the team finished in second place with a time of 4:17.72.
Rachel Shryock claimed second place in the 200 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 2:17.29. Additionally, she was instrumental in the 400 SC Meter Freestyle Relay, contributing to the team's second-place finish.
Marra Johnson earned third place in the 100 SC Meter Breaststroke. She was also part of the 400 SC Meter Medley Relay team, which finished second, helping accumulate additional points for the team.
Fairmont State returns to the pool on Friday, October 31 at Davis & Elkins College. Start time is set for 6:00 p.m.
