Women's Volleyball Seeded Sixth in NCAA Atlantic Regional

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State University women's volleyball team was seeded sixth in the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Atlantic Regional.

The 64-team, single-elimination tournament was announced Monday night on NCAA.com. Fairmont State is the No. 6 seed in the Atlantic Region after receiving one of the 41 at-large invitations from the Division II Women's Volleyball Selection Committee.

The Falcons enter the match with a 23-10 record and will face the third-seeded Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The Falcons shared the MEC North Division title and entered postseason play ranked No. 4 in the Atlantic Region. The Falcons collected two of the MEC's three end-of-season individual honors given to student-athletes with Player of the Year Joey Borelle and Libero of the Year Josie Skinn.

The Atlantic Regional will be hosted by Gannon, the top seed, in Erie, Pennsylvania. The four quarterfinal matchups will get underway Thursday, Dec. 4 and conclude with the regional final on Saturday, Dec. 6. at Hallmark Events Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
