WHEELING, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State University men's golf team competed at the West Liberty University Invitational. The Falcons finished sixth out of 10 teams with a team score of 590.
Caleb Young paced Fairmont State with a fifth-place finish as he shot rounds of 70 for a total of 140.
Jack Hayes was right behind him in sixth after carding scores of 73 and 69.
Nik Tomblin posted rounds of 73 and 76 while
Rudy Bland had a 36-hole total of 159 (79-80).
Ben Ritenour completed the starting five with scores of 81 and 82.
Individually,
Mason Lapana had a two-day total of 149 (77-72). Joining him were
Marc Puigdomenech (78-81) and
Miguel Martinez (80-81) as individual competitors.
Fairmont State will compete in th Cecil C. Spadafora Invititaionl hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, April 15 through Wednesday, April 16.
