Baseball Notches Seven on All-Conference Teams

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — On the eve of the Mountain East Conference Baseball Championship, the MEC announced Tuesday afternoon its 2025 all-conference team and individual postseason honors. Fairmont State had seven of its players honored across the three all-conference teams.

Quintin Reep got First Team All-MEC recognition in the outfield. Reep wrapped up the regular season with a .336 batting average with 47 hits, 42 RBIs, 27 runs, 14 doubles and five home runs. He also accured a slugging percentage of .557 and an OPS of .981. In the field, he recorded 69 putouts with eight assists and a double play.

On the All-MEC Second Team, Quintin Smith represented the Falcons at second base. Smith hit for .329 this year with 57 hits, 34 runs, 29 runs batted in, nine doubles, four home runs and a triple. With an OPS of .857, he also stole eight bases out of 10 attempts. Fielding wise, he recorded 61 putouts with 116 assists and turned 18 double plays.

Tyler Haskins got the nod on the All-MEC Honorable Mention squad with 34 hits, 37 runs, 25 RBIs, five homers and a triple. He led the team this year in walks (30) and stolen bases, going a perfect 13-13. Haskins holds a fielding percentage of .992 and 15 caught stealing.

Ryan Goff earned Honorable Mention at third base as he led the team with an average of .345. On the year, he has collected 57 hits, 38 RBI, 30 runs, 17 doubles and five home runs. His .539 slugging percentage was second on the squad with an OPS of .922. Goff also tallied 60 putouts with 80 assists and was part of five double plays.

As designated hitter, Cameron Moore received Honorable Mention accolades. He hit for .320 with 41 hits, 24 runs, 19 RBI, eight doubles and two triples. He drew 26 walks on the year with an OPS of .853.

Zach Brennan joined his teammates on the Honorable Mention list in the outfield. At the dish, Brennan collected 40 hits with 38 runs and runs batted in while hitting seven doubles and five home runs. In the field, he recorded 97 putouts with two assists and a double play.

Micah Canterbury rounded out the All-MEC honors with a spot on the Honorable Mention as a starting pitcher. Canterbury finished the regular season with a 5-2 record, pitching 52 innings with 34 strikeouts and holding opponents to a batting average of .265.

Fairmont State opens the MEC Tournament at GoMart Ballpark in Charleston on Wednesday against the University of Charleston. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
