WHEELING, W.Va. — Fairmont State showcased strong individual performances in a competitive meet against Wheeling and Bethany on Friday.
Maitlyn Miller led the Falcons with victories in the 100-yard freestyle (56.16) and 50-yard freestyle (25.50), contributing to the team's efforts.
Maitlyn Miller secured a first-place finish in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 56.16. She also claimed victory in the 50 Yard Freestyle, clocking in at 25.50, and placed third in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:05.13.
Rachel Shryock achieved a second-place finish in the 500 Yard Freestyle, recording a time of 5:26.11. She excelled in the 200 Yard Freestyle, winning with a time of 2:01.53, and contributed to the first-place finish in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Marra Johnson placed second in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:04.72 and won the 200 Yard Butterfly, finishing in 2:26.34. She also earned third place in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:39.25.
Delaney Householder took first place in the 200 Yard Backstroke, completing the event in 2:15.91. She also finished second in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:02.31 and played a key role in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay victory.
Olivia Ridenour finished second in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:38.87 and secured second in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, clocking in at 1:14.11. She also participated in the 200 Yard IM, placing fourth with a time of 2:27.69.
