BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Mountain East Conference released its 2026 Men's Tennis preseason poll as voted on by the MEC's seven head coaches. The Fairmont State University Fighting Falcons were picked third going into this year's campaign.
Fairmont State is coming off a 12-7 season while going 4-2 in conference play. In the postseason, the Falcons made it to the championship match of the MEC Tournament where they fell to the University of Charleston. The squad also earned a spot in the NCAA Atlantic Regional as they won their first match before falling to Edinboro University.
The Falcons return all three of its All-MEC members:
Gabriel Masu (First Team),
Kusunoki Haruto (Second Team), and
Mohamed El Helaly (Second Team). The team opens the spring portion of the schedule on Saturday, February 7 against UVA-Wise in Charleston, West Virginia.
