RIDGEPORT, W.Va. - The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week's Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Fairmont State's Drey Carter was named the MEC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Carter, a red-shirt junior forward from Bellefontaine, Ohio, helped the Falcons go 1-1 this past week. He scored 33 points in the two contests averaging 16.5 ppg. He also grabbed 15 rebounds in two games for an average of 7.5 rpg. Carter also posted 5 assists, a block, and a steal in the contests.
