BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has announced the winners of this week's Male Tennis Player of the Week award. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan.

Fairmont State's Kusunoki Haruto has been named the MEC Men's Tennis Player of the Week. This is the second-straight week a Falcon was named the MEC Player of the Week.

Haruto, a sophomore from Takamatsu, Japan, helped Fairmont State defeat Ashland University, 5-2 as Kusunoki Haruto helped secure that victory. At number 3 singles, Haruto defeated Ryohei Miyake in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-2. Then at number-one doubles, Haruto and Noah Liedtke bested Tomas Paskauskas and Bernardo Duarte by the score of 6-3.
