FAIRMONT, W. Va. -  The Mountain East Conference announced Monday the winners of this week's Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards. The MEC Player of the Week awards are presented by The Health Plan. 

Fairmont State teammates Sam Yuen and Olivia Johnston have been named the MEC Players of the Week. Yuen was selected as the MEC Offensive Player of the Week, while Johnston was named the MEC Defensive Player of the Week.

Yeun, a junior from Huntingtown, Maryland, helped the Falcons to a 2-0 record. She had one goal and one assist, playing 156 minutes across two matches.

Johnston, a graduate student from Sellersburg, Indiana, had eight saves throughout the two games. She played 180 minutes, protecting the goal in wins against Slippery Rock and the University of Findlay.
