FSU Women's Soccer Edged On Senior Night

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Wheeling Jesuit's Sarah Blasiman scored in the 65th minute to lift the Cardinals to a 1-0 victory over Fairmont State on Wednesday evening during senior night at Duvall-Rosier Field.

The goal ended a relatively quite night offensively, as the teams combined for just six shots on goal – four of which were by the visiting Cardinals.

Both of Fairmont's scoring opportunities came in the opening half, as Brittany Cameron fired a shot that was saved in the 41st minute, and Lake Porter got off a shot in the final minute of the opening half that was also saved by Wheeling Jesuit's Hannah Thompson.

Shawna Graham recorded three saves in the FSU net, as Wheeling Jesuit attempted 10 total shots on the evening.

Erica Uselton led the FSU offense with three total shots in the game, all of which came in the second half.

Prior to tonight's game, FSU honored eight seniors who played their final game at Duvall-Rosier Field. The FSU seniors include Erica Uselton, Mackenzie Arthur, Madison Lough, Gabriella Mascaro, Alexis Lindsay, Stephanie DeLawder, Courtney Webb and Brittany Cameron.

FSU will wrap up the 2017 season on Saturday afternoon with a non-conference roadtrip to Salem International for a 2 p.m. kick.
