Student Promotion
Through the 2017-18 season, all secondary and elementary aged students will receive a free general admission ticket to Fairmont State basketball games. In addition, all parent or guardians that accompany any secondary or elementary aged children to the game will receive half-price admission when purchasing general admission tickets.
Parking Notice
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as a large crowd is expected for Sunday's doubleheader. Gates will open at 1:30 p.m. with the women's game tipping off at 2:30 p.m. Free parking will be available in the Pence Hall parking lot and near the FSU tennis courts. White lot parking is pre-sold and no passes remain for Sunday's game.

The Matchup
- Fairmont State will return home to host the No. 1-ranked and unbeaten Hilltoppers of West Liberty on Sunday evening inside Joe Retton Arena. The game will be televised locally on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh with Travis Jones, Warren Baker and Brad Howe on the call.
- The Hilltoppers are currently picked as a unanimous No. 1 in this week's NABC NCAA Division II National Rankings with a record of 18-0, including a 13-0 mark in league play. Fairmont State (14-5, 10-3 MEC) is receiving votes in the latest NABC National Rankings.
- The last two times West Liberty has visited Joe Retton Arena with a No. 1 national ranking, the Falcons have upset the Hilltoppers (1/17/15, 12/4/16). Fairmont State has also won three of the last four meetings between the programs in Fairmont, with the only loss coming on Feb. 4, 2016 (77-84).
- In last season's home victory over West Liberty, Fairmont State outscored the Hilltoppers 11-3 in the final 2:26 to earn the 86-81 victory in the NCAA Division II Showcase Game on Dec. 4, 2016.
- West Liberty's Ben Howlett won the first meeting between today's first-year head coaches, as the Hilltoppers held off a late rally to pick up a 106-100 victory over the Falcons at the ASRC early this season (12/9/17).
- Jason Jolly scored 19 points in the loss, and the Falcons also got 17 points apiece from Vonte Montgomery and Garrett Cook. Dan Monteroso paced the Hilltoppers in the win with a game-high 27 points.Â
- Fairmont State enters Sunday's matchup riding a 32-game home winning streak, which dates back to February 4, 2016 when sixth-ranked West Liberty defeated Fairmont State 84-77 at Joe Retton Arena.
- Sunday's matchup is between two of the top offenses in NCAA Division II. West Liberty ranks first in the country in scoring average at 110.9 points per game. FSU is averaging 87. 3 points per game, which ranks 22nd in NCAA Division II.

- Coming into Sunday's game, Jason Jolly ranks 43rd in FSU history with 1,048 career points. Jolly needs just 14 points to move past Kevin Claudio for 42nd in program history. Jolly became the 47th player in program history to go over 1,000 career points during Fairmont's win over Urbana Jan. 11.
- Jolly also ranks third in school history in made three-point field goals (183) and needs just four more assists to move into 10th in school history in that category. Jolly has 263 career assists.
- Jolly needs just 34 more three-pointers to become the school's all-time leader in 3-point field goals.
- D'Ondre Stockman is also climbing the program's top 10 list for made 3-point field goals - the senior is currently 8th in school history with 137. Stockman also has the third-highest 3-point field goal percentage (.452) in FSU history. In just two seasons' with the Falcons, Stockman has 600 points and is shooting 50 percent from the field as the sixth-man for the Falcons.
- Stockman's 48.4 percent three-point field goal percentage this season ranks first in the MEC and 10th in the country.
- Fifth-year senior Caleb Davis is also closing in on 1,000 career points, currently with 925 points. Davis has reached double-figures in 12 consecutive games, including three double-double performances.
- Junior Vonte Montgomery also needs less than 200 more points to go over 1,000 points as a junior. Montgomery has 809 career points and 327 rebounds in his FSU career. Montgomery is shooting nearly 47 percent from the field in his career.
- In Fairmont's last eight games, the Falcons have held each of their opponents to under 82 points per game – including five games of allowing 70 points or less. During the same stretch, the Falcons have scored at least 88 points in six of the last eight games.
- Fairmont State has won seven of its last eight games, with each of the victories coming by a double-digit margin.
- The Falcons have made 11 three-pointers or more in six of their last eight games, including a season-high 17 three-pointers against Le Moyne (12/30/17)
- In addition, the Falcons rank ninth in the country in turnovers per game, averaging just 9.8 turnovers per game. The Falcons are also 14th in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.49).
