BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State/West Liberty basketball rivalry will be featured nationally this Saturday, Feb. 2, with the men's and women's doubleheader featured as part of the NCAA Division II Basketball Showcase.
The women's game will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 4 p.m. live from West Liberty's ASRC.
| Both games will be streamed online at WVMetroNews.com, MountainEast.tv, as well as through NCAA social media accounts — specifically, Division II Facebook (facebook.com/ncaadivisionii) and Twitter (@NCAADII). The men's game will also air live on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh. The men's game will re-air on Cox Sports TV (click here to see affiliates) on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 11 p.m., and the women's game will re-air on Monday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m. |
The NCAA Division II Basketball Showcase schedule features 14 of the 24 basketball-sponsoring conferences in Division II and is created from a pool of conference nominations.
The games are among 18 that are part of a hybrid distribution model which have the flexibility to be distributed on TV and online. The division will work with TV partners of participating conferences and schools on the opportunity to air games live on television. These games also will be distributed online through NCAA social media accounts — specifically, Division II Facebook (facebook.com/ncaadivisionii) and Twitter (@NCAADII) — and distributed through the conference network.
